Our Lay Leaders

Our lay leaders consist of elders elected by the congregation to serve at the Table, in various church boards and in the community;  deacons and deaconesses, also elected by the church, who prepare and serve communion, assist in committee work and carry the message of Jesus Christ everywhere they go;  trustees, elected by the church to take care of our physical property;  and officers of the congregation and board.  Leaders are selected by the congregation at its annual meeting, held during the month of May.  Leaders currently serving and their terms are:

The Officers, together with the Elders, Deacons, Deaconesses, and Trustees, together constitute the General Board of the church and are responsible for overall policy matters.


The various departments of the Church are headed by lay volunteers, selected by the ministers in consultation with the Chairperson of the Board.  Other members of the congregation then serve on the committee for each Department, chaired by the Department Head.  The Department Heads for the current year are:
