The Prayer and Meditation Group is a new addition to the Rhett Avenue line-up.  Dan and Melanie maintain a list of members, friends and events that are in need of prayer.  This list is updated frequently (at almost any meeting) and anyone attending a meeting can add to the list.  After a few minutes of gathering any new names, and inquiring about those others on the list, one of the pastors prays for the people and events.

In our frequent talks with God, we sometimes seem to do all the talking. In the meditation portion of this service, we learn that after petitioning God for our needs, we must listen for His reply.  Meditation allows us to calm our mind and our spirit so that we can listen more effectively.
